Dairy Free Matcha Latte


Matcha Lattes are a great alternative to coffee. Providing you with an intense antioxidant boost, this herbal green tea powder is nutty in both smell and flavour. Still providing a caffeine boost, the dosage is a lot lower than that found in regular coffee, yet providing us with a more sustainable energy release throughout the day. As well as fighting ageing, improving our mental focus and our awareness, it also boosts our metabolism to keep us burning fat throughout the day. In this recipe I use Vitalise’s Japanese Matcha, grown exclusively in Kyoto and distributed worldwide including many UK health food stores.

Serves 1


1/2 teaspoon matcha powder

1 cup of almond milk

1 teaspoon maple syrup


Begin by heating the dairy free milk in a saucepan until it reaches a drinkable temperature. Add the matcha powder to the blender followed by the hot milk. Blend for 10 seconds and then stop. Repeat the process 2-3 times and you will see the milk begin to bubble and froth. Add the maple syrup, pour into an ornate tea cup and enjoy!
